Peter J. Mohoric, VMD, DACVO® is a board-certified veterinary ophthalmologist who joined VEI Plano in January 2023.

Dr. Mohoric received his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with a minor in Chemistry from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA.

After completing his academic studies, Dr. Mohoric next completed a Small Animal Medicine & Surgery internship and Specialty Internship in Ophthalmology at Florida Veterinary Specialists in Tampa, FL. His residency was completed at Eye Care for Animals in Chicago, IL.

Dr. Mohoric is enthusiastic about restoring sight through cataract surgery. Witnessing a patient’s response to seeing their owners again brings great joy and is one of his favorite aspects of being a veterinary ophthalmologist.

When not with patients, you’ll find Dr. Mohoric spending time with his wife and sons, attempting to play golf, or learning to ride horses.
