Amanda Wimms, BVM&S, MRCVS

Veterinary Ophthalmology Resident

Amanda Wimms, BVM&S, MRCVS, is a Veterinary Ophthalmology Resident at VEI Anaheim and VEI Upland, where she joined the team in July 2022.

Dr. Wimms graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery from The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at The University of Edinburgh. She attended Chi University to become a certified veterinary acupuncturist. She completed an equine internship at Park Equine Hospital. She has been an associate at Woodside Equine Clinic, Woodbine Animal Hospital, and due to her husband’s military career, she has been a small animal relief veterinarian at various locations around the country. Dr. Wimms completed her externship at Animal Eye Care.

Dr. Amanda Wimms enjoys yoga, paddleboarding, skiing, and traveling in her free time. She is thrilled to be back in Southern California, where she can enjoy the sunshine, surfing, and hiking with her husband and their black Labrador Retriever, Fletcher.
